Slash X Bar & Grill camping and riding.

One of the most popular places in the High Desert of Southern California, to wet your beak, is a little bar & grill called Slash X. When most families go out to eat they drive their family wagon, but the Slash x crowd, well they travel in packs like wild gazelles flying through the desert to grab a fresh pitcher of beer and my favorite the “The Slash X Cheeseburger.” Most of the customers of Slash x ride their motorcycles, UTV’s, ATV’s, sand rails and sometimes I don’t even know what to call it. You see when you camp in Barstow, Lucerne Valley, or Johnson Valley all roads lead to Slash X not just for the food, but the great atmosphere. Slash x has a host of great memorabilia. You could seriously walk around and spend half of the day looking at all the crazy stuff.

Apple Valley, Ca – Deep Creek Trail
Trip: Approx 15 Mi
Difficulty: Beginner

Yes, folks this ones in high class, high desert baby! We Saddled up the Yahmaha Rhino and Polaris Rzr 4 and had a blast. We call this trail “Deep Creek” because Deep Creek Rd runs adjacent to the river bed. We started off of Seneca Rd right where it dead-ends into the river bed, but you really can start anywhere you can park your vehicles. You can really make this one an all day trip so pack a lunch and a cooler : )
